Description
Social establishments such as children’s homes, schools and hospitals need a reliable supply of electricity. The joint project by IBC SOLAR, Liechtenstein Development Service and VAF is designed to help meet this need with photovoltaic systems.
The 4 kWp power photovoltaic system helps the organization to guarantee the electric supply in the long term and more: By day, a water pump is powered with solar energy and, by night, lighting of the Peace House is made possible by batteries that are charged during the day.
In addition to the Peace House in Kabul, IBC SOLAR, the VAF and the Lichtenstein Development Service have equipped five schools and hospital wards in Afghanistan with photovoltaic systems.
